Our Screening Methodology
Amanah applies both AAOIFI standards and the Dow Jones Islamic Market Index criteria to screen stocks. We evaluate each company across two dimensions:
We exclude companies with primary or significant revenue from alcohol, tobacco, pork, gambling, adult entertainment, conventional weapons, and interest-based financial services.
We assess debt-to-assets, interest income, and receivables ratios to ensure companies remain within acceptable Islamic finance thresholds — even if otherwise halal by industry.
